I am so excited to be teaching at Harmony for my fourth year! I feel extremely blessed to be here! Harmony is an amazing school with wonderful students, parents, teachers, and administrators! I graduated in 2008 from Bellarmine University with a double major in Elementary Education and Learning and Behavior Disorders. I am now currently pursuing my masters at Bellarmine. I grew up in Oldham County and love this community. What a treat to give back to such a wonderful school system and teach in the very district in which I was once a student!
I am a very family-oriented person and I enjoy spending time with my husband and our families! Exciting news this year is that my husband and I are expecting our first child, a sweet baby girl, on November 5th. My husband and I also have a beagle/lab mix, Boone that we adopted as a puppy. We're just a
little crazy about him. Some of my other hobbies include working on our home (decorating, organizing, repurposing), spending time with friends, being outside, taking pictures, watching UK sports, blogging, creative activities such as painting and drawing, and being involved with my church.
It is my goal for our classroom to be a community where everyone belongs and each person contributes something special. I believe that the classroom must be a place where each student feels comfortable and safe to be themselves in order to thrive. I value each student as an individual and it is my goal to meet the needs of EACH student. I believe that we are all lifelong learners working together and learning from each other.
I'm looking forward to a wonderful year together!
